A New Pair Inspired by 20 Years of Wear
長年Obeliskを応援してくださっている西山様。約20年間、大切に履き続けてくださった「ブーメランデニムパンツ」をきっかけに、新しい一本をオーダーいただきました。
Mr. Nishiyama, a longtime supporter of Obelisk, commissioned a new pair of our Boomerang Denim Pants after wearing and cherishing his original pair for around 20 years.
Obeliskのデニムブームを支えた、原点ともいえるデザイン。その一本を今も愛用していただけていることは、作り手として本当にうれしい限りです。
This signature design helped shape Obelisk’s denim heyday. As its creators, knowing that he has continued to wear it for so many years means a great deal to us.
ブーメランの個性を、今の自分に合うシルエットへ
The Signature Boomerang Design, Tailored for Today
今回のご希望は、ブーメランデニムならではの個性を生かしながら、新しいデニム生地で、ご自身のサイズに合わせて作ること。そして、裾までストレートに落ちるシルエットへとアレンジすることでした。
His request was to preserve the distinctive character of the Boomerang Denim Pants while creating a new pair in fresh denim, tailored to his measurements and updated with a straight-leg silhouette.
長く愛してきたデザインを、今の好みと体型に合わせて楽しむ。西山様ならではの、思いの詰まったカスタムオーダーです。
It is a custom order that brings a much-loved design into the present, adapted to his current style and fit.
採寸・パターン作成から、トワルでの確認まで
Measurements, Patternmaking, and a Toile Fitting
まずは採寸を行い、西山様に合わせたパターンを作成。トワルを製作して実際にご試着いただき、サイズ感やストレートシルエットをご確認いただきました。
We began by taking his measurements and creating a personalized pattern. We then made a toile for him to try on, allowing us to check the fit and straight-leg silhouette together.
ご納得いただいた形をもとに、新しいデニム生地を裁断。いよいよ、完成に向けた縫製へと進みます。
Once he was happy with the fit, we cut the new denim and moved on to sewing the finished pair.

Bringing the Cut Denim to Life
裁断した各パーツを縫い合わせ、ブーメランデニムの特徴的なデザインを形にしていきます。
The cut panels were sewn together, bringing the distinctive Boomerang Denim design to life.
長年親しんでいただいたデザインと、今回のオーダーで生まれたストレートシルエット。その両方を大切にしながら、西山様のための一本に仕上げました。
Combining the familiar character of his longtime favorite with the newly requested straight-leg silhouette, we completed a pair made especially for Mr. Nishiyama.

Complete at Last! The Final Fitting
完成後は、西山様にご来店いただき、さっそくご試着！
With the new pair complete, Mr. Nishiyama returned to the shop to try them on!
サイズもシルエットもぴったり。採寸とトワルで確認したイメージが、完成したデニムとして形になりました。仕上がりにも大変喜んでいただき、うれしいお渡しとなりました。
The fit and silhouette were just right. What we had developed through the measurements and toile fitting had become the finished denim pants. He was delighted with the result, making the handover a special moment for us, too.
